DESCRIPTION:Have you ever wondered why your teenager or pre-teenager will not listen to you like they did when they were young? What about…why is my teenager acting like this?\nIf you have ever asked yourself these questions, you should join us for this fascinating workshop on adolescent brain development. Did you know that the brain continues to develop until age 25, on average? We hear a lot about early childhood and brain development; however, it is important to continue to support brain development in our children well past the ages of 0-5. Our presenter will be Debi Neat, she is grandmother of 22, retired high school teacher, and long-time trainer of adolescent health concepts. The workshop will discuss the basics of adolescent brain development and how this development impacts the young person and their relationships. We will talk about how to strengthen our relationship with them and communicate more effectively.
