SUMMARY:Making Proud Choices: Youth Empowerment Summer Series
DESCRIPTION:We are excited to announce Making Proud Choices: Youth Empowerment Summer Series, a special opportunity just for the youth in our grandfamilies! This summer, Duet is partnering once again with Touchstone Health Services to offer an engaging and impactful eight-week virtual workshop designed exclusively for adolescents ages 11–17.\nThis interactive series creates a safe space for teens to connect, learn, and grow together. Through age-appropriate conversations and activities, youth will explore topics such as healthy relationships, peer pressure, self-esteem, and strategies to prevent unplanned pregnancies, HIV, and other STDs, plus teen dating violence.\nThis program provides a peer-centered experience that fosters confidence, informed decision-making, and connection throughout the break. As a thank-you for their time and participation, youth will receive $20 gift cards for attending sessions. Duet will also hold a weekly raffle during each session, giving participants an additional chance to win a gift card—one winner will be selected each week.\nWhen: Tuesdays, June 10 – July 29, 2025, 2:00 – 3:30 p.m.\nWhere: Zoom\nCost: Free\nRSVP: Reservations required by June 3.
